Bicentennial Barns of Ohio
Fans of local history and Ohio’s rural roots will enjoy this handsomely produced book about the barns that bear the state’s bicentennial logo. The logo itself lends a sameness to the look of the barns, but Wilkinson counteracts this by writing about their histories and owners.

There’s more to the Ohio Bicentennial Barns than their logos, and Christina Wilkinson has written the book to prove it.

…an enticing story of Ohio barns and the people who admire them. It is a masterpiece of editorial effort and typographical layout.

Although the handsome photos initially attracted me to this book, once I got into it the writing carried me through – especially your eye for detail and the sense you give of really knowing the families behind these barns.

Reading Christina Wilkinson’s book made me proud to live in Ohio, with its rich history. Not only is it informative and laid out in an easy to read manner, it is so very heartwarming. And the photos are wonderful too! A very good read.

Christina Wilkinson traveled to all four corners and 88 counties of Ohio photographing the barns that were painted for the Bicentennial. She spoke with many of the owners, and shares these stories with us. There were several books on the Bicentennial barns, but this one is the most personalized that I have seen. It will endure.
